and for his master he lives to please.

he'll just bring it back, wagging his otter tail.

When it comes to versatility no other breed can compete,

in retrieving ducks or guiding the blind across the street.

It doesn't matter if you come home late,

he waits patiently at the kennel gate.

He longs to be with the family in the house,

or crash through the alders for his first ruffed grouse.
